San Diego based R&D Technology Company, building revolutionary products that will range from networking, informatics, monitoring, communications, and wireless solutions - all within the medical device and healthcare space. Due to the depth of their product pipeline, they are looking for a Hands-on Technical Lead / Manager with strong OOD/OOP (C++) skills to help mentor and guide the team. The good news is that you won't have administrative management responsibilities, yet be a technical role model to the rest of team and help push them. Their goal is to transform the future of healthcare using technology and thereby reducing medical costs. Major agreements have been signed with global medical device, healthcare, wireless, and semiconductor companies to license their existing products, plus they have over $80MM in funding to date.
Under the leadership of a dynamic CTO, you will work on the entire product development cycle with a small hand-selected team of bright, motivated software engineers. This will involve building proof-of-concept prototypes to development of final products in a range of areas: communications, networking, firmware and informatics systems. All development is done using C/C++ on multiple RTOS, including Linux, Android, VxWorks, etc.

Salary Range and Bonus Potential:
--$100K to $135K + generous 10% bonus based on your personal goals, not company profits.

Job Requirements:
--Must have minimum of 10 years experience developing real time (RTOS) embedded software systems for wireless products.
--Expert in OO / Object-Oriented Development using C++.
--You must have had leadership responsibilities for mentoring and developing engineers.
--Must be proficient in prototyping and product development (SDLC).
--You must enjoy working across multiple groups and remain technically hands-on
--Plusses would be experience with these skills (SDK, Linux/Android, telecom, medical device)
--Must have strong problem solving skills and ability to work on a team basis.
Educational Requirements:
--Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other engineering-related fields at a 4-year accredited college or university. Masters or PhD degree preferred.
