Job Description:
Principal Software Engineer
SS8 is looking for a Principal SW Engineer to deliver significant capabilities as a lead of the development group.
As a lead software developer, you will be responsible for architecture, vendor/technology selection, design, development, unit test and integration of modules and features for the SS8 Communications Analytics and Forensics platform. This is a hands-on position requiring exposure to the full software development life cycle, strong technical and programming background.
In this job, you will deliver massive capabilities that will make a difference. Your software will be deployed across the globe.
Required Skill Set:
Must have 10+ years of SW development experience with high performance applications.
Solid experience in C++, Java.
An expert in JEE framework namely EJB, Hibernate, Messaging (JMS, Active MQ), REST
Expert in relational databases specifically MySQL.
Experience in development of multithreaded and multiprocessor products (system calls, inter-process communication, and synchronization mechanisms) on UNIX platforms preferably on Linux.
Experience in full development product life cycle with a proven record of delivering product and features on time with high quality.
Passionate, intelligent and good problem solving required. Creativity a must.
A self motivated team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with little supervision in a team environment.
Desired Skills
Experience with browser based application development using HTML, JSP and Google Web Toolkit (GWT)
Familiarity with indexing software specifically Solr and Lucene.
Experience with super large databases (Hundreds of TB of Data) using SQL/No SQL to manage, and retrieve large volumes of data.
Familiarity or experience with Data Warehousing and Data mining techniques and technologies.
Familiar with Data Analytical methods and techniques
Familiarity with ClearCase/ClearQuest and other modern development tools is desirable.

BSc in Computer Science
