RGB Networks has an immediate opening for a Lead Systems Engineer to help drive us to the next stage of our evolution. Recently recognized as one of the top venture backed companies by the Wall Street Journal, RGB Networks is rapidly growing and looking for an experienced and versatile professional with can do attitude, and ability to work independently in a technically challenging, fast paced start up environment.

Responsibilities include:

As a Lead Systems Engineer, your mission is to provide secure, available, and operationally excellent infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking, systems and desktop support, plus have an outstanding focus on service quality in dynamic and growing organization.

Your responsibilities will include support of internal networks, Linux and Windows servers and workstations, messaging including Exchange, VOIP, backup and recovery, plus scripting. You will monitor and troubleshoot systems, networks and applications performance and respond to systems and network incidents, triage and resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 5-years experience with Linux server administration and performance tuning
Over 5-years of administering Windows servers, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange. Strong messaging fundamentals.
Minimum 5-years experience of layer 2 and 3 networking knowledge including Cisco firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, NATs/Bridges as well as TCP protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, PPP)
At least 3-years of experience in VMware, VMotion and other virtualization technologies
Familiarity with Nagios. Experience using scripting languages for task automation (Perl, Python, Shell, etc.)
Experience with HP and Dell server and storage hardware
Experience in DNS, LDAP and RADIUS
Understanding of wireless infrastructure technologies (802.11a,b,g,n, WPA, WEP)
Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
