Lead SW Engineer Adchemy

This position will play a critical role in developing and commercializing Adchemy's customer acquisition platform.
The Adchemy platform allows advertisers to maximize conversion and the ROI of customer acquisition and retention campaigns across all online advertising channels, including paid search, display advertising, email, and direct navigation.

Youre passionate about quality, results, and innovation; you have experience creating massively scalable customer-facing software applications. You have experience/interest in developing software-as-a-service/SaaS platforms. You have a deep understanding of internet protocols and web architecture.

We have a high-traffic web-site, store massive amounts of data, create innovative algorithms for analyzing the data to enhance our customer's business, and use advanced tools and technologies (AJAX, Javascript, FLEX, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, MapReduce, and more).

Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership and display a passion for software development.
- Participate in system design and architecture decisions.
- Create code that is simple, extensible, optimized and robust.
- Collaborate with other team members to evolve development processes.
- Actively find ways to improve software (evaluate and incorporate new libraries, tools and technologies; code reviews; refactoring; testing; etc.).
- Organize and lead group discussions.
- Work with customers and product management to identify and define features.

Requirements

- High proficiency with Core Java/J2EE and object oriented design
- Experience developing data-centric, web-based applications (Apache, Tomcat, JavaScript, ActionScript, AJAX, CSS)
- Experience with MySQL, Spring and Hibernate
- JUnit framework, JMeter, HtmlUnit or other testing frameworks and harnesses
- Maven or Ant build scripts
- Bachelor's degree and 7+years experience or Master's with 5+ years experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus

- Design Patterns
- High performance math software
- Large scale databases
- Searching and indexing (especially Lucene or Nutch)
- Parallel or distributed systems
- Unix/Linux and Open Source Development (patching, building, modifying, porting)
- DART Doubleclick API.
