About the Lead Technical Recruiter role:
With over 5 billion check-ins and 45 million users worldwide, Foursquare's engineering team is building some of the most sophisticated location-based technologies in the mobile space. To continue our success, we need to always be seeking the best technical talent and this role will be the sole owner of that task.
The ideal candidate has proven engineering recruiting chops with specific experience at either a high-growth startup or large technology company (e.g. Google, Amazon, Microsoft). You should be well-versed in the many different roles that make up an engineering organization, as well as know what schools and companies to source from for the best engineering talent. To really impress us, you should have an understanding of programming languages, technology stacks, and engineering processes and feel comfortable conducting your own phone screens with candidates.
This position is based at our New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
In-house recruiting experience
3+ years of experience recruiting for software engineering, QA, and operations roles
The ability to effectively communicate all pieces of an offer package (including stock options) and approach offer negotiations from multiple angles
Exposure to HR responsibilities (e.g. employment law, immigration, compensation structures, and benefits)
Comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
