Who We Want:
As Lead Technical Writer, you will be a pivotal member of a highly-talented global research & development team, focused on delivering high-quality content that delights our clients and inspires them to do more with our solutions.
This senior-level individual contributor role will provide a great career path to those looking to expand their domain expertise, or as a route to management. You will be responsible for ensuring that our content strategy intersects with the client experience, and you will design and implement solutions that integrate our content library with user experiences such as our client portal. This will ensure that our clients always have the information they need in order to get the most value from Bazaarvoice.
In this role, you will be expected to provide input and opinions as the product evolves through its lifecycle, and will be ultimately responsible for the information and resources clients receive upon shipment of the product. In other words, you will have a respected voice, but great responsibility.

Our services personnel spend less time coaching clients through the use of our products
Skills and Experience Necessary for the Role:
Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated thought leadership within the realm of technical writing.
5+ years related business experience in content management and synthesis of technical and client-facing documents. Samples of work will be requested.
Demonstrate excellent communication and writing skills, with an emphasis in technical/marketing writing skills, and an ability to integrate complex ideas, strategies, and operational models.
Understanding or experience (technical proficiency or knowledge) of applicable Web technologies (e.g., eCommerce platforms, JAVA, XML, APIs, web analytics, etc) preferred.
Authoring and developing in DITA XML, including experience with the DITA Open Toolkit and XSLT/XSL-FO
Experience implementing, updating and maintaining component CMS systems.
Experience managing single-source documentation processes, including the translation process to multiple languages.
Background in latest tools and technologies for information and knowledge management.
Able to meet deadlines and complete multiple projects under extremely tight time frames.
Self-driven, resourceful, and able to achieve goals independently as well as to work well in matrixed groups.
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
Ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward.
Ability to review documentation and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
Able to communicate clearly with peers as well as management.
Ability to interface with product management, development, and services delivery groups to execute delivery of documentation.
BA/BS preferred.
