Lead VLSI Product Engineer - Challenging 72 Manycore Processor Tilera
How would you like to be a Lead for the most unique, state-of-the-art manycore processor on the market? This is an opportunity to work on our 72 core processor, the TILE-Gx72 and other innovative products. As a Lead Product Engineer you will be a key senior Operations team member responsible for new product development and product lifecycle management in collaboration with Executive Management, Worldwide Marketing, IC Design, and Manufacturing teams.
You will also be a mentor and provide guidance to other junior team members and work with executive management on priorities, strategic technical objectives, and defining organizational goals and resourcing plans. As one of the primary product technical resources you will work with our silicon manufacturer, suppliers, vendors, assembly/test houses, pro-actively driving product test, electrical characterization, datasheet creation, qualification, yield analysis/improvements, customer support, cost reduction programs, off-shore transfers, reliability modeling and specifications, and customer quality issues.
What You Will Own:
Partnering with Operations management, internal executives in various functional areas, and with key customers to define and productize technologies that provide disruptive technological innovation to the marketplace.
Developing strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the company?s manufacturing flows, ATE and system level testing, including production, characterization, debug, and qualification.
Defining and driving reliability testing and develop reliability models for new and existing products including ESD, Latchup, and Burn-in.
Driving the creation and maintenance of a manufacturing test database and associated tools to be used to analyze production, characterization, qualification data for yield/quality improvement efforts
Managing debug efforts and design DOEs to understand low yielding lots and define maverick material screens, statistical bin limits, and in-line quality monitors
Creating and maintaining yield models and work with Marketing and Planning as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality.
Help analyze customer returns; assist in Root Cause Corrective Action and improving overall company FA/RMA processes and flows.
Defining and documenting binning and fusing specifications, manufacturing flows, marking specs, non-conforming materials rules, system-to-tester correlation plans, and ATE and system characterization plans.
Working with wafer foundry and internal teams to define process splits and other material needed for new and existing products
Ideal Background For the Challenge:
10+ years Semiconductor industry experience, with emphasis on Product Engineering
BSEE, Materials Science, or other relevant degree
Experience managing or mentoring junior engineers to increase overall team effectiveness and productivity.
Prior background working Executives and Tier-1 customers on complex processor productization and quality related issues.
Good understanding of ATE programs. Preferably Verigy 93K
Expertise in system level characterization and production system level testing
Solid experience in debug and bring-up of complex processors with multiple high-speed interfaces
Must have experience defining and maintaining a manufacturing test data base and associated tools
Familiarity with device physics, semiconductor fabrication and assembly
