Lead Web Engineer Medialets

IDEAL CANDIDATE:Looking for someone who loves to develop software and create complete products that run in production. You and your team are responsible from an engineering perspective for the entire lifecycle of the application from requirements through to deployment. User experience and performance are both important to you. You will be required to have some systems design background as well as experience with interfacing with product, quality assurance and other stakeholders within an organization.
ABOUT YOU:
You're currently responsible for a Ruby On Rails Software as a Service application running in production.
You maintain a healthy respect for the user experience and page performance.
You've managed, implemented, documented, and maintained various front-end web applications.
You have experience outside of RoR that makes your Rails development focused on the product and engineering and not just of a Rails based application.
You've supported web front-end related production and non-production issues
You've lead development teams and been the interface with Product and QA teams.
MORE ABOUT YOU:
Must be strong in Ruby on Rails, MySQL and other web based technologies
Expertise knowledge of a web programming languages as it relates to the front-end user experience.
Responseible for the lifecycle of builds and deploys from various integration enviornments, through testing, staging and production.
Effective problem solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Presentable portfolio of development work online, desired
Quick learner with go-getter attitude, team player
Can work independently with your team with minimal supervision
Experience with Zookeeper, Cassandra or other related Open Source systems is a plus but not required
