The Learning Specialist, Webinars will lead activities to analyze the training needs of Avalara Customers. He or she will produce a training development plan with a robust portfolio of webinar content to address customer needs for quality training. The Learning Specialist, Webinars will engage a broad range of subject matter experts, customers, and partners to gain an understanding of the needs of these stakeholders and to create a webinar development plan to address those needs.
The ideal candidate has high energy, is detail-oriented, always on-time, has a good phone voice, and can think quickly on their feet. In addition, they are passionate about and have experience in customer service and technical support, preferably with Avalara products.
Conduct instructor-led webinar training to an audience of multi-functional end users
Complete an ongoing training needs analysis and create a webinar development plan focused on needs of customers
Ensure that webinars are always current and relevant by partnering with customers, partners and employees to integrate product and process changes into materials
Plan, manage, coordinate and execute all webinars programs & initiatives
Develop benchmark criteria to measure the effectiveness of the webinar program, report results to management, and implement improvements as required
Work closely across departments to ensure the successful promotion of all webinars
Educate staff and prepare key messaging and presentation material
Review presentation materials and offer feedback to speakers
Post webinar surveys, polls and act as a moderator (if necessary)
Record webinar sessions and edit audio for on-demand webinars
Collaborate on other User Knowledge & Learning projects as needed

Experience and Skills:
High School Diploma, Bachelors degree is a plus
Minimum 1 year experience with Avalara products, services, and customer knowledge
Minimum 1 year experience in similar or related field
A track record of performance excellence meeting targets and objectives
Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timeframes
Experience with or ability to quickly become proficient with collaborative technologies such as Webex, Adobe Connect, and GotoWebinar
Must have the ability to create editorial content at a moments notice
Ability to be a proactive and savvy communicator
Expert project management and demonstrated problem solving skills
Tech savvy, easy adopter of new technologies
Must be able to anticipate issues and factors that affect curriculum needs and get in front of them with a plan for resolution
Must be accountable and have excellent follow-through
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, creatively, and with initiative
