As a Legal Intern, you will be responsible for the coordination and administrative support for our immigration applications. You will participate as a legal team member and will be an integral part of the team. In this position, you will work with all levels of the organization. This position is located in downtown Chicago.Candidate qualifications: A junior or senior pursuing a bachelors in Pre-Law or related field, or a law student. Cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Duties/responsibilities include:
Support of immigrant and non-immigrant visas including:
Preparing mailings
Scanning
Updating system with receipt and approval notices
Filing
Uploading documents based on client and attorney request
Basic document intake
Photocopying documents
Minimal legal research
Key personal characteristics include:
High-energy and results-driven
Strong and friendly communication skills
Self-motivated and high level of initiative and ownership
Detail oriented, skilled in proofreading complex documents
Ability to respond to multiple priorities and plan work to meet deadlines
Knowledge of Word, Excel and other computer software applications
