The Recording Fee Specialist is responsible for handling all issuing and reviewing of recording fee checks for releases/reconveyances that are prepared by the Lien Release processing team. In addition to reviewing fees, the specialist is responsible to gather all release/reconveyances printed each day and prepare them for quality control review. Additional responsibilities include reviewing reports, handling re-deposits and reissuing checks as needed.
? Gather daily release/reconveyance production to prepare for quality control review
? Matching checks to forms and generating attachments as needed based on state/county requirements
? Review of all system-generated recording fee checks for accuracy, issuing/reissuing as needed
? Review monthly reports for Bank Reconciliation to determine checks in need of being re-deposited
? Review check requests and verifying amounts for internal team members on purged accounts
? Issue checks for internal team members for active accounts
? Maintain updates to internal processes based on notifications of fee changes
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements)
? Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-volume work environment
? Strong organizational skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Motivated self-starter that has ability to work independently
? Ability to analyze data and resolve problems
Training and Experience
? 1-3 years mortgage servicing or accounting experience preferred
? Experience with numeric entry/10 key operations
? Experience dealing with third parties and obtaining information
? Proficiency using MS Office applications
? Knowledge of the Fidelity system
