Linux Administrator MicroSeismic

Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The SA ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners. Must be able to travel internationally (50-80%)

Technical Skills:

5+ years Linux System administration with Unix RedHat Linux ES 3,4,5,6
Proficiency in managing Linux Systems
Experience configuring Kerberos and Single Sign-On (SSO)
Knowledge of Active Directory and User/System Authentication
Experience configuring server hardware and software
Strong technical background in UNIX Shell Script
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Environment

Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
Show extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed in the RDBMS
Document system problems and resolutions for future reference
Collaborate in the preparation, tracking, and reporting of responsible areas and IT projects budget
Develop and monitor security procedures in compliance with client's security policies to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data
Excellent professional, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent judgment especially when to escalate issues for resolution
