Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The SA ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
Responsible for the implementation, technical /administrative support, and performance tuning in the area of database administration. Work with developers to provide solutions to promote Database changes and solve any performance issues. Develop and manage automated UNIX scripts to handle day to day database activities.
Technical Skills:
5+ years Linux System administration and engineering experience DNS fundamentals, BIND Network fundamentals, including diagnostics with Unix tools RedHat Linux ES 3,4,5,6
5+ years or more experience with Database Administration skills in Oracle (10g and 11g)
Proficiency in managing Linux Systems
Proficiency configuring Apache servers
Familiarity with Oracle DBs and PL/SQL
Experience configuring Kerberos and Single Sign-On (SSO)
Knowledge of Active Directory and User/System Authentication
Experience configuring server hardware and software
Experience with Applications/Tech Stack/Database upgrades, cloning, patching, performance tuning and backup recovery required
Strong distribution and manufacturing knowledge and business requirements for Oracle 11g Applications
Strong skills in PL/SQL, SQL Tuning, Oracle Standard Reports and Forms 6.0/6i
Strong technical background in Oracle, UNIX Shell Script
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Environment

Show extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed in the RDBMS
Document system problems and resolutions for future reference
Collaborate in the preparation, tracking, and reporting of responsible areas and IT projects budget
Develop and monitor security procedures in compliance with client's security policies to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data
Excellent professional, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent judgement especially when to escalate issues for resolution
