The ideal candidate will required to have strong Linux administration experience in working on several different Linux platforms. The candidate must have the ability to identify and resolve with various Linux environment related issues.
Act as the primary administrator for any Linux systems, including servers located on-site, collocation and Amazon EC2 environment. Responsible for providing day to day Linux OS, service and application administration and operation support includes installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, backups and recoveries.
Provide general IT support for any end-user's system and application requests and issues. Provide Microsoft Windows OS support. Support both onsite and remote end-user's system. Image, configure and deploy new desktops and laptops for users. Troubleshoot and provide hardware support, includes contact hardware vendor for assistant.
Be available on-call for any system outage.
Minimum of 5 years experience with the following area:
Strong administration experience Linux Operating Systems, including but not limited to RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu, in an enterprise environment.
Install, support, troubleshooting and configuring Linux system.
Experience build and support in both Physical and Virtual system environment (VMWare)
Experience writing shell scripts, php and other scripting language
Strong TCP/IP knowledge and with the ability to troubleshoot system network connectivity related issue.
Strong knowledge and experience install, configure and supporting network services and applications, such as DNS, DHCP, NIS, FTP/SFTP, SSH, SMTP (Sendmail, Postfix), Apache, NFS, MySQL, X11, VNC, SMNP and etc.
Strong technical, problem solving and communication skills
Experience with the following as a plus:
Network device, such as Cisco switches, router and ASA firewall
Network storage devices such as SAN and NAS devices
System monitoring tools
Windows OS administration (workstation/server)
Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2010, Lync 2013 administration
VMWare ESXi administration
Amazon EC2 Environment
4 years collage or equivalent education degree.
Formal technical training or Linux certifications preferred
