EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or an equivalent filed. EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, Network Systems Administrator, Computer Systems Administrator or equivalent.
DESCRIPTION Responsible for all aspects of the company?s production data center services applications including servers, operating systems, storage and supporting systems. Design, implement, and operate a scalable and reliable systems infrastructure supporting a fast-growth hosted service. Ensure proper security, monitoring, alerting, and reporting for the infrastructure. Trouble soot and resolve escalated issues. Work on capacity planning for all aspects of the infrastructure. Develop and maintain processes, tools and documentation in support of the production environment. Evaluate new software, hardware and infrastructure solutions. Work with medium to large-scale Linux production environment utilizing knowledge of Linux systems and application including MySQL, Ajax, Java, Apache, and Perl. Involved with tools development including scripting and development of systems automation tools using Shell, Perl, and Python.
Five (5) years experience- with:
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced scripting with Bash, Perl, and Python;
SaaS and/or Online Production Globally Redundant and Balanced Environment;
Linux troubleshooting;
MySQL Administration; and Apache and Nagios monitoring framework.
-Experience concurrent with the above-referred- to industry experience.
