Listener Support Specialist - Oakland, CA
Pandora is looking for a Listener Support Specialist to join our growing team. This is a full-time hourly position located in our Oakland, CA office. The weekly schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with occasional overtime.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line assistance in response to Pandora listener email.
Assist with troubleshooting the set-up and functionality of :- Pandora on a computer (Windows/OS-X, Firefox/IE/Chrome/Safari, Flash)
- Pandora on mobile devices (iOS, Android, Blackberry)
- Pandora on CE devices (Blu-ray, TV, set-top boxes)
- Pandora One Desktop application
- Pandora in vehicles
Provide account support for Pandora listeners:
- Use of Pandora features and user-interface assistance
- Help with registration, lost username and password issues
- Transaction troubleshooting
- Other duties as assigned
What we're looking for in a candidate:
- Exceptional technical support and troubleshooting skills.
- Passion for helping Pandora listeners
- Expert knowledge of Pandora service and features.
- Positive attitude, motivated, team player.
Requirements:
- 1-5 years of professional experience in a Technical Support role in a fast-paced high-tech or internet company.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to respond to large quantities of emails that are time-sensitive.
- Significant writing experience with an emphasis on speed, clarity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in external communications.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Experience troubleshooting mobile device set-up, functionality (iOS, Android, Blackberry).
- Proven experience in an email support role, troubleshooting issues with PC and Mac computers (browser, operating system settings, plug-ins).
- Comfortable multitasking and learning on the fly.
- Patience with users who have limited computer/technical skills.
Plus Requirements:
- Fluent in writing/speaking Spanish or French.
- Knowledge (and love) of music.
