The Litigation Services Manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks across the business lines of EverBank including:
? Exhibits ability to exercise independent judgment in the management of all litigated and non-litigated matters.
? Provides independent advisory assistance to the Senior Litigation Counsel and Associate General Counsel for Litigation and Labor Relations.
? Independently responsible for managing operational and accounting services for the Litigation Group with the Legal Department with daily and specialized projects.
? Directs all administrative functions for the Litigation Group with the Legal Department.
? Autonomously analyze and ensure vendor compliance with EverBank Corporate Litigation Billing Guidelines.
The Litigation Services Manager has broad discretion and latitude to exercise independent judgment and decision making ability in the following areas:
? Managing caseload of significant legal matters, including all litigation.
? Independent latitude to draft, revise and counter legal contracts, documents, memos, correspondence and reports.
? Provide regular reports to Senior Management.
? Coordinate vendor approval of outside counsel, vendors and associated risk assessment.
? Ensure all legal vendor compliance in accordance with EverBank Corporate Litigation Billing Guidelines.
? Manage matter setup and law firm billing.
? Interact with and manage outside legal counsel on a regular basis.
? Perform research on legal and loan issues.
? Respond to and resolve legal questions.
? Manage accounting functions for the department, including bill payment and projects related to web-based legal billing software.
? Assist in conducting legal billing training and support of outside counsel and Litigation Group.
? Generate, prepare, and analyze legal billing reports.
? Provide relationship management and communicate directly with outside counsel, Senior Management, and other stakeholders throughout the bank.
? Provide project leadership and support services for the Litigation Group.
? Create and maintain electronic filing system.
? Manage, update, and maintain electronic database of legal matters.
? Manage information requests, including assembling and validating documents relating thereto.
? Perform general administrative duties as necessary.
? Manage special projects as assigned, taking initiative to complete in timely manner.
? Liaison with other departments, representing the Litigation Group?s interests as needed.
? Create additional reports for other platforms as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities)
? Familiarity with legal concepts, practices and procedures.
? Accounts payable experience and invoicing standards.
? Strong analytical, database, and software skills are essential to be successful in this position.
? Ability to consolidate complex data into a concise and accurate presentation.
? Ability to perform multiple tasks for projects and transactions accurately in a time critical environment.
? Verbal and written communication skills must be strong.
? Excellent interpersonal skills will be needed for productive interaction with multiple parties associated with each project and litigated matter.
? Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other Database and Office software.
? Ability to work in a flexible, high volume and fast paced environment.
? Self-starter who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and has the ability to interact on a professional basis with all levels.
? Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills are required.
? Ability to work effectively with senior management team as well as outside legal counsel.
? Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
? Excellent organizational and research skills.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to independently and regularly work with Senior Management and outside legal counsel.
? Ability to work in a team environment
Training and Experience
? Paralegal certification required.
? Bachelor?s degree required.
? Legal Database Certified Administrator preferred
? Industry experience preferred
? 10+ years of proven work history in the legal field.
