NextMedia Silicon Valley (94.5 KBAY FM, Mix 106.5 KEZR FM, NextMedia 360) in San Jose is looking for a ?can-do?, competitive, persuasive, and street-smart Local Sales Manager to lead its Local Sales effort to the next level. You?ll accompany local sellers on sales calls every day, lead the cultivation of new business categories and accounts, work closely with NextMedia 360?s Web Designers and Interactive Content Specialists, and creatively monetize our core digital and terrestrial radio selling tools. You?ll work closely with the General Sales Manager to implement our Local Sales goals and strategies, recruit sales talent, and train/coach current salespeople. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Five years of broadcast sales experience with a proven track record of new business, local direct business, and digital/interactive revenue leadership and development
Excellent outside sales skills with an emphasis on successful execution of face to face sales calls
Ability to develop and implement a sales plan that will meet station?s revenue goals with emphasis on new business, both local direct and local agency
Must be conversant and have a strong aptitude for Web Design, SEO, and Social Media
Highly developed training and coaching skills
High energy level and aggressive attitude toward sales, sales training and education, and client relations
Ability to demonstrate effective management and motivational skills.
Ability to develop and maintain effective communication with everyone with whom they must interact during the performance of assigned job responsibilities.
Ability to handle stress; work quickly and effectively under pressure, and a willingness to work some irregular hours.
Computer skills with a working knowledge of Scarborough, Tapscan, Marketron, MS Word and Excel, and Powerpoint
Willingness to fully support the company?s Mission and Core Values and work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form
Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management and clients.
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer prior broadcast sales management experience with proven ability to supervise staff including strong skills in organization, delegating, training, interviewing, motivating sales people, and leading a strategic local sales effort.
Possess a valid driver?s license, proven ability to safely drive company vehicle or personal vehicle without exposing the company to serious liability risks.
