Local Sales Planner Yelp

Yelp is seeking a creative and proactive sales planner to work closely with our Operations and Sales teams. In this role you will prioritize Yelp?s Key National accounts and strategize sales outreach to key development opportunities. The Sales Planner will develop sales material, documentation and research utilized by our sales organization.
The Sales planner should be intimately familiar with online media, specifically the search, directory and display advertising sales and delivery life cycle. Any candidate will need to demonstrate direct experience working with a sales team and creating custom proposals for sensitive, key accounts. They will also be highly proficient with key tools such as 3rd party ad serving platforms and sales management tools. The right candidate will also be highly organized and detailed-oriented, with solid communication skills and the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
Create sales collateral, traffic information and competitive analysis for all offerings
Provide pre-sales support to sales reps by pulling accurate search inventory, performing qualitative analysis, creating sales collateral, modeling ROI, performing competitive analysis, compiling best practices
Research and post competitive sales and industry data monthly
Build processes to ensure all documents and communications are properly classified and communicated
Vet out businesses to uncover and qualify selling opportunities
Develop and maintain sales presentation and proposals in PowerPoint
Generate and own biweekly/monthly/quarterly sales reporting
Work with the Yelp National sales team to think strategically about our accounts, presenting solutions based on Yelp?s core competitive advantages
Provide pre-sales support to sales reps by pulling accurate inventory, secure pricing and provide proposals.
Assist with Comscore reports on a regular basis
Understand the fundamentals of pricing, and ensure consistency across all channels
Build processes to ensure all documentation and communications are properly classified, as well as communicated to internal client
Develop strong understanding of Yelp?s ad products and sponsorship opportunities
Develop research and cases using Comscore, publicly available information
Skills and Experience
2-3 years experience in relevant position in Online Advertising/Marketing
Knowledge of the interactive marketplace (local, search, directory a plus)
Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task ? must be able to juggle multiple projects and clients
Excellent team player with strong attention to detail and good time management skills
Strong experience with Comscore, Excel, PowerPoint and PhotoShop
Excellent communication skills
Performance Metrics
Work on strategic proposals within the deadline set by the potential advertiser (given reasonable turnaround time (24-48 hours)
Develop sales collateral
Send weekly/monthly reports to sales (Comscore/inventory)
