Locations Manager Zipcar
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1) Locations Sourcing
Existing geographies ? using a variety of sources find and secure locations for our members that are where they need them, in the right quantity, at the right price and in a way that maximizes the member experience.
New geographies ? where and how? Working with the GM and other business areas look to identify where the untapped potential lies in the relevant market and deliver a locations plan to best access it?
Negotiate rents and contract terms with each vendor/authority, load details into admin and ensure locations photos are taken.
2) Locations infrastructure ? the sourcing and managing of all locations related passes permits etc.
Working with vendors/authorities to ensure we launch each location with the right permit or pass in each car.
Manage the renewal process of each permit or pass (where applicable eg on-street annual parking permits) in a timely fashion to ensure the replacement is in the car in good time.
Work with the fleet team to ensure permits/passes are delivered into cars as appropriate and that any car moves that are done by the fleet team are done taking into account passes/permits.
Through the close management of the above, maximize fleet uptime and minimize penalty fines.
3) Locations merchandising ? signage etc
Work with the marketing manager to maximize the visual opportunity of each location. Where applicable Zipcar locations will act as a billboard for our service.
Ensure correct wayfinding signage is in place at each location to aid the member experience and minimize ?car not found? calls.
Negotiate signage rights with each vendor.
Source and manage signage vendor to implement agreed signage strategy.
4) Locations payables ?
Determine monthly check payments to vendors based on space count.
Apply credits for partially or fully unused parking spaces.
Add pro-rated payments for additional spaces.
Ensure that space counts for locations match contracted/agreement totals.
Create tickets for any changes of space counts or payment amounts.
5) Locations optimization ? locations, car types etc
Right car, right place.
Use the reporting tools available to analyse performance of each location and each vehicle type to ensure market has optimum network to meet member demand and maximize business performance.
Proactively manage the network to reflect changing member numbers and usage patterns eg seasonality.
Work with fleet team to get associated optimization moves done.
6) Public affairs/relationship (work with GM to ensure appropriateness here)
Build stakeholders that can help achieve network dominance, cost advantage or other commercial benefit to Zipcar. This could include transport authorities, municipal authorities property developers, large scale commercial partners etc
Negotiate with these key partners and then meet their subsequent needs eg regular reporting.
Working with the GM to develop Zipcar as thought leader in car sharing category.
Leverage partners to maximum degree possible eg favourable policy improvements, Z4B accounts etc.
