Job Description
This role will serve as the primary contact for logistic and material matters. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and administering a department budget, development of necessary performance metrics and the planning and scheduling of tasks over both short and long term time periods. The incumbent will also be responsible for the development and implementation of logistic plans, policies and procedures, identifying and resolving any necessary arrangements/protocols and communicating such plans to the appropriate department/s and conducting necessary training. The logistics and Materials Manager will take into account the quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability when selecting materials and vendors for ordering purposes for the company and ensure that the supplies/suppliers utilized in the supply chain meet the minimum requirements for quality assurance standards. The incumbent is to act as a partner with Operations and Quality Departments.
Requirements
?Minimum Education: BS in Logistics, Engineering, Business or equivalent. Masters degree or MBA with a logistics/ supply chain focus is preferred. A combination of experience and training that is equivalent will be considered.
?5 years experience in Materials, Logistics, Distribution, Supply Chain, Business Operations or a related environment.
?Demonstrated innovative thinking and creativity a must
?Basic understanding of GMP requirements as applicable in a logistics environment
?Fluent in English, both oral and written
?Ability to follow written instructions and perform recordkeeping / logging of maintenance activities.
?Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook computer software
