Coordinates and consolidates domestic and international inbound & outbound activity to support order fulfillment. Primary responsibilities are to provide support in Logistics and Materials for all product lines and to coordinate shipments to customers. These job duties will be performed in compliance with established global standard procedures. Helps plan, schedule, and coordinate the supply, material flow, and storage of inventory from the supplier to the customer throughout the order fulfillment process. Ensures lowest cost transportation by the analysis of company and customer needs, researching transportation methods and auditing carrier costs. Interprets laws, rules and regulations regarding and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain inventory transactions and locations as well as identify and correct any inventory discrepancies.
Review pick lists and proactively expedite/facilitate material movement in support of daily shipments.
Research and prepare required shipping documents for unplanned orders. Coordinate shipments and perform data entry functions utilizing AX/ERP systems.
Generate reports and complete special projects as assigned.
Allocates inventory as needed and follow up on discrepancies resolutions.
Trace and track shipments and resolve transit and customs delays
Assist in mode optimization or cost reduction initiatives in transportation
Acquire and maintain a clear understanding of the technologies utilized in client?s products, parts, and services.
Receive inventory parts into proper locations as well as ensure accuracy in the Inventory Management system.
Stand and /or walk in combination for the duration of the workday.
Lift as required, squat, kneel and crouch to complete customer orders.
Assist with cycle counts of inventory part numbers and ensure accuracy in the Inventory Management system. Work with others to resolve process problems that may lead to inaccuracies. Assist with planning and executing physical inventories.
Interact with internal customers regarding job orders, issues and requirements
Maintain and transact in the Inventory Management system all inventory movements to support order fulfillment
To adhere to and follow all ISO 9001 standards and GMP?s and serve as a model for compliance to regulations and standards in all aspects of the job.
To develop ideas and procedures to work towards continual process improvement. As a team member, provide input for all new product and processes that may affect inventory integrity.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
2-5 years? experience in warehousing, A.S. Degree preferred.
Strong organizational skills, and creative problem solver
Proven background and experience in continuous process improvement
Complete familiarity with warehouse management systems, inventory control methods, and data collection
Competency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively work with people in other departments and/or outside of the company
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Eager to become an immediate contributor to the company
Can operate in an open and collaborative environment
Must be service oriented with a ?hands-on? approach
Can work with limited supervision
Ability to supervise a team of up to five warehouse employees
Can work in a fast moving environment and meet deadlines
Ability to work after normal business hours as required
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of force frequently (34-67% of the workday) and 26 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday). The buddy system must be utilized for loads weighing more than 50 pounds.
