Job Description:
Avalara is seeking a Loyalty Marketing Operations Manager. This is a new role for a person who enjoys being a trailblazer ? he/she will lead Avalaras efforts to optimize technology in marketing to its existing customer base, specifically using Eloqua, Salesforce.com and our content management system. The candidate must be a thinker and strategist; as well, he/she must be able to provide consistent implementation. The person filling this position will report to the Director of Customer Loyalty Marketing and will work closely with the Customer Loyalty team; together they will inform and retain customers through regular email communications, and devise, test and systematize ways to cross-sell and engage customers.
Job Duties:
Design a system for existing-customer lead scoring within Salesforce.com, to allow the company to segment and evaluate customer relationships and lay the groundwork for promotions.
Research, design and create a new online user community, allowing customers to share ideas and more readily understand the complexities of sales tax compliance.
Design, execute and report on regular email communications, including customer newsletters.
Design, execute and report on special email communications: in coordination with the Customer Loyalty Marketing Manager, respond to internal requests for communications, and initiate communications for Loyalty Marketing to meet its retention and promotion goals.
Automate recurring emails through Eloqua program builder.
Experience and Skills:
BA/BS or equivalent experience required; MBA a plus.
Exceptional project management skills, with an emphasis on clear communication, managing expectations, teamwork and managing complex projects within timelines and on budget.
Ability to effectively manage external agencies/vendors.
Superior skills in learning complex software.
5+ years experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com; Salesforce.com certification preferred.
2+ years experience with Eloqua; certification or training preferred.
