LTE Research Engineer ArrayComm

ArrayComm is seeking applied researchers to create state-of-the-art physical layer solutions for broadband wireless systems such as LTE and LTE-A. ArrayComm currently has openings for outstanding candidates with skills in the following areas:
Design and analysis of physical-layer algorithms for cellular air interfaces such as LTE, LTE-A, WiMAX, WCDMA, etc.
Broad abilities in the areas of adaptive signal processing, matrix theory, statistical analysis, and traditional wireless communication theory topics such as digital modulation and channel coding.
Quickly understand wireless communication standard protocols and design algorithms for the physical layer based on the protocol requirements.
Significant and current technical depth in one or more of the following areas; MIMO (both space-time codes and spatial multiplexing), smart antennas, self-organizing networks, interference management, and relaying.
Demonstrated ability to design and simulate complex physical layer algorithms (Matlab with C/MEX).
Experience with lab equipment and conducting performance studies required by different wireless standards (e.g. for LTE 36.101/36.104).
Applied researchers at ArrayComm are typically engaged in the following activities:
Inventing algorithms for multiple antenna signal processing and evaluating their performance both analytically and through simulations.
Designing algorithms for practical receivers for both base station and subscriber devices with hardware limitations including estimating computational requirements of algorithms.
Collaborating with hardware and software developers.
Performing experimental design, data collection and analysis of field data.
Creating and presenting technical material to a variety of audiences including customers, standard bodies, and industry groups.
PhD (strongly preferred) in a field directly related to wireless communications with 2-4 years work experience beyond PhD. Exceptional master level or recent PhD candidates with demonstrated outstanding ability will also be considered.
Established technical track record with good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn emerging standards. Knowledge of at least one widely deployed air interface (e.g., LTE, WiMAX, 802.11, WCDMA) is preferred.
Work efficiently as part of a team and finish assignments on time.
Knowledge of matlab and preferably also C.
