Project Leadership Associates (PLA) is currently seeking a Lync and Exchange Administrator for our Managed Services group in our Chicago, IL office. This technical position will be primarily responsible managing and maintaining mid-size Lync, Exchange, and Active Directory environments (typically 100 ? 500 users).
The position is responsible for the following:
Responsible for management and maintenance assignments that encompass system architecture validation, best-practices configuration analysis, and operational management (user adds/drops, patching, troubleshooting errors, etc?).
Perform system reviews of client UC environments and prepare findings documents outlining short and long-term strategies.
Facilitate and present to clients findings and recommendations documents.
Developing strong customer relationships and showing willingness to assist customers through challenging issues.
Establishing reputation as subject matter expert in assigned technology area.
Troubleshooting and/or escalating issues as they arise
Tracking, recording and reporting maintenance/administration activities
Developing and ensuring consistent documentation updates, standard operating procedures and best practices
Participating in required status and other meetings with client and PLA account teams
Leading or working with PLA project teams in application design and planning sessions with clients
Identifying other business opportunities (sales influenced)
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and experience to be considered:
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Microsoft Lync 2010 (100+ seats).
Experience with Unified Messaging (UM) and / or voicemail platforms.
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 (100+ seats).
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Microsoft Active Directory (100+ seats).
Proven design, planning and implementation experience with Windows 2003, 2008 and 2008R2 Server technologies
Proven design, planning and implementation experience in completing messaging migrations to Exchange from Novell GroupWise or Lotus Notes a plus
Responsible for leadership and delivery of project based assignments that encompass system architecture, proof-of-concept and deployment services for Enterprise and Mid-Market customers.
Support and lead solution group development initiatives through development of solution offerings, pre-sales support and marketing efforts.
Perform system reviews of client telephony environments and prepare findings documents outlining short and long-term strategies.
Facilitate and lead client configuration planning meetings for specific technology projects.
Strong customer relationship skills and willingness to lead customers through successful challenging projects.
Establish reputation as subject matter expert in assigned technology area
Business Requirements for Position:
Excellent verbal and written communications, including documentation skills
5 years minimum experience with Windows server implementation and administration
Technical certifications a plus
