You will be able to conceptualize creative ways to add value to the Gilt experience by analyzing and utilizing customer data in innovative ways. Developing applications using machine learning and information retrieval technologies
Algorithms (Collaborative Filtering, Classification, Regression)
Open source software such as R, WEKA, Lucene, and Mahout.
Java, Linux/Unix and SQL (Scala is a plus)
Consumer facing products and a basic understanding of user psychology
