Maintenance I Modular Space Corporation
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on modular buildings at customer sites and/or ModSpace service center. The Maintenance Tech:Performs needed repairs (i.e. carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing) without instruction
Inspects modular units and recommends repairs to meet business standards and works with our contractors to provide guidance on same
Cleans modular unit with industrial strength products
Acts as "Safety Champion" for the business
Performs repairs, maintenance, and cleaning on branch facility/yard as required
Ensures that the storage areas are properly maintained
Enters job scope and time into computer and completes inspection and repair paperwork
Communicates with customers
Orders and maintains inventory of repair and parts supplies
Maintains shipping and receiving files
Ensures quality control
Oversees vendor work
Operates forklift or onsite vehicles to move parts, trailers or other equipment
Operates service trucks as needed to pick up and/or deliver parts or equipment
Performs other duties as assigned

A successful candidate:
Has a minimum of 8 years of general maintenance/carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience
Has knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical systems, and plumbing
Is focused on customer service
Prioritizes tasks and manages time to meet deadlines
Is able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision and provides guidance to contractor staff to ensure the work is done in accordance to procedures
Shows up for work as scheduled and on time
Works with others in a professional manner
Works in accordance with established safety procedures and has strong OSHA knowledge
Has basic reading and writing skills
Has basic computer skills and can learn new systems
Holds a valid Driver?s License and can move trailers
Certified forklift driver
Is able to work overtime as needed
Ability to communicate in Spanish would be a huge plus
Has a High School Diploma or GED - preferred
Has manual construction and/or multi-modular unit experience - preferred
