3rd Shift (hours are generally Monday ? Friday, 11:00pm-7:00am)The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for supporting production by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all production equipment. In addition, this position will support the overall facility maintenance including but not limited to: plumbing, snow removal, event preparation, basic construction, painting, etc. The successful candidate will possess the genuine desire to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently, utilizing good work practices as part of a maintenance team or when working independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
High School Diploma or GED is required
6 months minimum internal training or 1 year external formal training in a structured educational environment
3 years industrial maintenance experience in a similar working environment
3 years experience operating hand and power tools, precision measuring or testing devices (tape measure, calipers, metric & standard)
Experience and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop tools and equipment
Experience welding and fabricating; preventative maintenance, minor repairs, simple set-ups & installation of minor parts; light electrical, i.e. change fuses, check voltages, replace & install motors 120/240/480
Ability to read and understand blue prints, schematic drawings and diagrams
12 months Fork Truck experience
Reasonable English fluency (read, write, speak
Basic computer skills (email, PM schedules, work orders, etc.)
Ability to work in a stressful environment (loud, dirty, confined spaces, etc.)
Valid PA driver?s license with ability to drive 24,900lb box truck or flat bed with manual or automatic transmission
Must have the ability exert up to 130 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
