Summary of Functions:
Summary of Functions:
Supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance employees. Ensure customer and company requirements are met, both in quality and production volume. Enforce the company safety policy and all other applicable company policies.
Essential Functions:
Ensure that team members comply with all safety regulations, hold weekly safety talks and encourage each team member to think about safety when performing maintenance tasks
Study production schedules and estimate worker hours requirements for the completion of job assignments and then assign those duties. Establish or adjust work assignments to meet production schedules and forecasts
Monitor employee time cards and make adjustments as needed to ensure correct time and department
Assist employees in attaining individual and department productivity and quality goals; initiate and suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals
Inspect products to verify conformance to direct specification and direct set-up and adjustments of processes
Ensure all applicable technical and field service bulletins are implemented effectively
Review and maintain productivity and quality data for the department; promote quality and raise awareness of the Quality Management System (QMS); identify and communicate quality failures and train employees to prevent reoccurrences; improve process methods and quality of product
Interpret company policies and procedures; initiate progressive discipline where patterns of poor performance are observed; resolve disputes, coach and encourage staff, promote a team environment
Ensure housekeeping activities are performed daily to ensure a clean and safe work environment
Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and experience to analyze and resolve complex work problems, or assist others in solving work problems
Ensure that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in a safe and operable condition and/or arrange for a replacement. Develops, implements, and reviews equipment records to include maintenance logs. Establish procedures and contracts to ensure the timely repair of equipment
Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and project work that may require weekend or after-hours activities
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
College educated applicants are preferred, or an equivalent technical training certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent military technical training
5-10 years of hands on repair experience with an emphasis on distribution or manufacturing environments
Must have experience with warehouse management or inventory systems; should have experience working in an ISO environment
Must have experience with electrical motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and controls , CMMS, PLC and operator interfaces, lighting and power distribution, HVAC systems and controls, automatic fire systems, and conveyor systems
Familiarity with generator and emergency power systems, Ethernet, device net, and RS232 communication
4-6 years of supervisory experience
