JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary of Functions:
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians for our Memphis, TN operations center(s).
Summary of Functions:
Responsible for ensuring all facilities and equipment are properly maintained in good, safe working order and perform necessary preventative maintenance on a timely basis with adequate record keeping.
Essential Functions:
Performs routine preventative maintenance of the facility including but not limited to all conveyor components (rollers, belts, motors, switches, photo-eyes, sprockets, chains and pneumatic valves, etc.), forklifts, pallet jacks, electric and manual carts, merchandise and supply racking, loading docks, overhead doors, all facility ventilation and air handling equipment, air compressors, replace fuses and circuit breakers, overload replays, repaid lighting, rebuild or replace motor starters, replace faulty control wires and devised, identify and replace faulty bearings, rebuild gear boxes, and be able to read and follow electrical schematics.
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to the product, process and quality system.
Identify and record any product, process and quality system related quality issues.
Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to quality issues through designated channels.
Follow company policies, procedures and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to maintain constant physical activity including bending, lifting, walking, climbing and stooping
Normal or corrected hearing and vision
Ability to physically access all areas of the work environment
Manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform keyboarding functions
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience as a multi-craft technician.
PC experience
Ability to speak read (fine print) and write in English. Able to follow verbal and written directions. Able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively communicate information to other employees of the organization.
