Major Account Manager, Heavy Industrial Iron Planet
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Position Summary:
Responsible for consigning equipment to IronPlanet?s Featured Auctions and Daily Marketplace from major account designated sellers. These include but are not limited to fleet owners involved in Heavy Industrial business activities. The role includes the development of relationships at senior and mid levels of management within these respective businesses to secure Preferred Provider Agreements designed to generate high volume auction sales. Attending conferences and trade shows, conducting presentations and active participation within professional and trade associations is required as needed for success within this position - all while following IronPlanet?s sales force guidelines.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain good working relationships with buyers and sellers within area of responsibility and specific vertical markets.
Manage all interactions with a diverse client and supplier base to increase sales revenue.
Identify and solicit equipment to sell in IronPlanet?s online market place related auctions.
Assist in negotiations and pricing of Preferred Provider Agreements.
Solicit and qualify buyers.
Work with region, area and territory managers as required to develop the relationships necessary for account penetration purposes at a field level.
Participate within team selling environment; this includes providing weekly forecasts and subsequent reporting required within company CRM system.
Education and Experiences:
Minimum of 7-10 years successful outside sales experience in the heavy equipment industry with emphasis on national account or business development required
Bachelor?s Degree preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated sales ability within corporate senior suite level.
Must have excellent communication, presentation and organization skills.
Must be persistent, energetic, and entrepreneurial.
Basic computer skills using the internet.
Auction experience a plus.
Fleet asset management experience essential.
Must be willing to travel as required.
