POSTING: Technical Consultant, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

POSITION: Technical Consultant, Managed Services
Basic PurposeWorks as a consulting team member or an individual business consultant on for-fee product implementation, enhancement, integration, or audit projects. Expertise and work efforts are focused on the analysis of the customer's business goals, objectives and needs and the general business environment. Duties usually performed at customer's site. Serves as pre-sales support specialist when needed. Operates under minimal supervision on complex projects involving multiple products and/or platforms. Typically works on a team lead by a Business Billable Project manager, and reports to Infor Consulting Services Director. Usually requires six to nine years of experience in relevant industry business practices, or business consulting, preferably in distribution.
The Consultant, Managed Services group in St Paul, MN is responsible for supporting customers who use our S3 software in the Healthcare, and Public Sectors.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience with an aptitude to solve customer problems/issues which might arise. Knowledge of our Lawson applications is a plus, but not necessary. Help desk experience and System Administration experience would be good skills for this role.
Specific tasks include:
o Support clients on a variety of technical issues related to our Lawson S3 application, these issues may include upgrades, troubleshooting, scheduled patch installations, etc .
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work ExperienceUndergraduate degree, or equivalent work experience in a Technical Help Desk or System Administration function.
Specialized Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of UNIX or Windows operating systems, SQL or Oracle knowledge, good communication skills.
