Managed Services Practice Director Project Leadership Associates

As we continue to grow, Project Leadership Associates (PLA) looks to add a top level Practice Director focused on Managed Services. This position will oversee the PLA Enterprise Managed Services Group (EMS) and be responsible for the development, growth, delivery and quality control of Managed Services. This includes the direct management of consultants and others within the group. The ability to build strategic partnerships leading to net new clients in the mid and enterprise market space is required. This position will also act in a CTO capacity for Managed Services? clients and work with our consultants to ensure we are building and maintaining stable, secure and scalable networks in our data centers and offsite at client locations. The end result should be a great reputation and leading market presence in the managed services space.
Strategy & Leadership
Design and establish strategic growth plans for EMS which incorporates market trends and emerging technologies and align with the Company?s mission and objectives.
Build and continually grow partnerships with external key partners and service providers.
Establish effective decision-making processes that will enable the Company to achieve its long- and short-term goals and objectives.
Improve sales and business development practices that translate to revenue generation, including recurring sales.
Identify and implement operational and margin improvement action steps/tactics to improve profitability.
Proactively and reactively maintain high quality assurance service level agreements with all clients.
Collaborate with the Company?s executive leadership in order to maintain consistency of internal delivery standards and solutions.
Create and promote a positive and rewarding work environment.
Maintain P&L overall goals for EMS based on performance and budget plan.
Create and uphold forecasting plan for services and resources.
Prior experience growing a managed services practice is required.
Minimum of 5 years operations and delivery experience in technology industry, including data center management and at least 3 years of experience in virtualization and cloud computing.
Experience leading technical teams to resolve critical issues under tight timelines.
Experience with testing and managing high availability environments with performance of disaster recovery tests on a regular basis.
4-year college degree, preferably BS in Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years management experience with strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
Business development and sales experience in technology industry.
