Manager Accounts Receivable

This position reports to the VP Corporate Controller, and is responsible for all elements of Accounts Receivable processes and reporting, including invoicing and cash applications functions, daily transaction processing, month end close, and coordination with other related functions. This position manages a team of individuals and is responsible for the delivery of accurate, timely and efficient work-product coupled with strong customer service.
Lead, coach, develop, evaluate and monitor a team of 2 specialists.
Coordinate with Order Management and Revenue Accounting team to ensure efficient, timely and accurate invoice processing and resolution of discrepancies.
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of A/R month-end closing process, including closing Oracle modules, preparation and review of accruals and journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations as well as variance analysis on same.
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
Review account activity in A/R and monitor trends in invoice processing or aging while escalating priority issues timely.
Monitor, maintain, and enhance all internal controls in relation to these functions as well as process improvement opportunities, all in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and corporate policies.
Be the systems and business process expert for this area.
Bachelor?s degree in related field (accounting, finance).
10+ years of experience in accounting, including 6+ years supervisory experience.
Proven ability to be a team leader with ability to motivate, influence and lead others.
Public company experience and exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley required; start up experience highly desirable.
Oracle experience (11i or R12) required.
Organized, ability to focus on detail, maintain confidentiality, being hands-on when necessary.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills, self-motivated, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Willingness to handle routine and difficult tasks in a start-up, as well as a public company, environment.
Skilled at leveraging IT tools to create more efficient processes.
