What We?re Looking For:
The Manager, Accreditation & Regulation is responsible for: (1) oversight of all initial applications and annual renewals filed with various state regulatory commissions to enable 2U?s University partners to operate within each state; (2) outreach to such state regulatory commissions and to 2U University partners, as necessary to the initial application and renewal process; (3) planning and tracking the progress of all applications from start to finish via customized Salesforce tracking system, including the team?s proper use thereof; and (4) management of the Compliance Department?s Accreditation & Regulation Specialists.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Managing the research, collection of data, and application process for Authority to Operate for new 2U programs
Overseeing and reviewing initial applications and annual renewal documents prepared for State Regulatory Authorities
Interfacing with 50+ state jurisdictions, University partners and internal stakeholders to provide annual reporting data, annual registrations, compliance information and other University partner-specific reporting requirements
Arranging travel and lodging for visiting Certification teams to local campuses
Traveling to various regulatory agencies for meetings as part of the application process
Drafting state application information and responses
Assisting with other compliance initiatives and projects
Use, maintain and improve the Salesforce-based state authorization tracking system
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
Bachelor?s degree required. JD, Master?s Degree or other advanced degree a plus
Minimum of 3 years experience managing employees and/or an organizational process
Previous experience working with a University and/or federal, state or local regulatory authorities
Experience developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with multiple University administrative personnel and/or federal, state and local regulatory agency personnel
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, prioritize and complete complex concurrent projects
Experience interpreting or administering federal and state laws and regulations
Ability to track and meet strict deadlines
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and knowledge of database software (Salesforce) a plus
