We're currently searching for a Manager, Advanced Payroll Services at our offices in Glenview, north of Chicago, to lead our team of payroll professionals handling complex amended tax return and payroll service issues.
Reporting to the Director of Customer Care, The Advanced Payroll Services Manager is responsible for ensuring SurePayroll's customers receive extraordinary service when they have complicated payroll tax or service issues. They lead a team of seasoned payroll and tax professionals dedicated to finding solutions and creating a seamless payroll experience for our clients.
The responsibilities of this role are:
Manages inventory of, and process work-flow for, amended payroll tax returns to ensure smooth process and work delivered within established service levels
Manages escalated client payroll service issues and clients that have multiple open payroll service issues to ensure all issues are resolved to the client?s satisfaction
Ensure accuracy of the team's work to maintain the highest level of client retention and prevent issues with tax record-keeping and filings
Provide seamless service to SurePayroll Accountant program partners with multiple clients
Increase team efficiency by advocating system and/or procedural changes with regard to amended tax returns and client issue reporting
Monitors and reports on trends affecting amended tax returns and escalated client service issues to determine root causes and maintain service levels
The ideal candidate will have experience in a multi-state payroll or service bureau environment. They're a leader who understands the relationship between operational efficiency and extraordinary customer service. A natural problem solver and confident communicator, they have a strong sense of urgency and a bias toward action. Analytical and technology savvy, they enjoy leading process oriented teams and creating streamlined processes.
Minimum of 5 years of customer service management experience and 3 or more years of payroll tax experience required. Familiarity with process improvement a plus. BS/BA degree is preferred. Consideration may be given to a candidate without a degree in lieu of experience. Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite required. CPP or FPE certification a plus.
