This role reports to the Information Technology Vice President and is responsible for direct leadership of the department. This role will be responsible for functioning as a hands-on Manager providing leadership, project management and technical expertise. This is a highly visible position that requires a self-managed, pro-active, motivated and inspirational leader who is capable of meeting personal and team deliverables in a timely manner while managing and developing a team of Business Application Administrators.
Manager, Business Applications role is responsible for the technical management, user experience including new hire navigation training and escalation support, administration and implementation of all applications that support the business. This will include applications that are part of a typical ERP framework (eg finance, customer support, operations, inventory management, internal build systems, etc). The candidate and team will be the go-to resource for the configuration, set up, and support for all of these tools. As such, the candidate will be a ?hands-on? manager who personally must be an expert or become a technical expert in the tools that are utilized by the company. Additionally, the candidate will be a strategic thinker who can help the team and company evaluate the use of the tools to provide best-practices implementation of the tools. A key objective for this position will be to increase efficiencies in the use of these tools in conjunction with the workflows that are being defined. The team will work with all business units of the company and therefore, must be an expert in communication and building cross department partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Configuration/ Escalation Support
?Establish a support model that provides the technical configuration, setup, management, administration, and implementation of all business applications/tools used by the company.
?Expert on the tools (eg 3rd party like Salesforce, Epicor, etc and internally developed applications from a user, not developer, perspective) and performs the configuration, setup and support of the tools.
?Partner with the business unit leaders to help them implement the tool to achieve their department objectives.
?Provide assistance for administrative support of the tools
?Provide problem/bug fix assistance
?Integrate applications for bi-directional communication that are highly, if not completely, automated so that there is no manual or redundant re-entry of data from one system to another
?Be the system administrator and engineer responsible for the setup/configuration of the tools
Business Partnership / Strategic Alignment
?Maintain comprehensive understanding of current and future business needs
?Manage vendors and projects
?Provide communication at the appropriate level to all parties (internal/external) with dashboard metrics to enable easy 3rd party understanding of the project status
?Pro-actively identify issues before they become problems and provides detailed analysis on resolutions to the problems
?Works as a contributing member of the Technology team to help ensure application related practices are strategically aligned with overall business objectives.
Business Support / Training
?Provide end user support for all business applications (ie level 1 is the business unit manager/lead, level 2 is Biz Apps, and level 3 is the vendor/consultant
?Ensure high quality user experience including new hire navigation and web trainings
?Maintain a knowledge base for departments throughout the company
?BA/BS desired in a Business and Computer Science field
?Minimum 7 years? work experience in a technology or manufacturing company
?Minimum 3 years of experience managing a group
?Excellent verbal and written communications skills
?Exceptional communicator who can facilitate a meaningful discussion to quickly understand how to perform the task
?Knowledge of SAAS applications
?4-5 years of experience with an ERP system
?2-3 years of experience with a finance tool (bonus for experience with Epicor)
?2-3 years of experience with a CRM tool (bonus for experience with Salesforce)
?2-3 years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint
?2-3 years of experience with a diagramming tool such as Visio or SmartDraw
?2-3 years of experience with database systems such as Microsoft SQL
