About the Role: Manager, Business Development
In this highly diversified role, you?ll report to the Head of Business Development and use your well-honed business acumen to identify strategic opportunities to drive product innovation, revenue growth, and the internationalization of HPMG's properties, including Huff Post Live.
Leveraging your broad knowledge of publisher platforms and technologies, content syndication and the internet advertising sector, you will identify key media and technology partners and expeditiously structure, negotiate, close, manage, and optimize partnership deals.
You will further provide strategic insights and recommendations to business leaders across HPMG?s content, product and advertising offerings using industry analysis, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and most importantly, creativity.
With a bachelor?s (MBA a plus) degree, experience in the media industry, and rigorous analytical background developed in management consulting or investment banking, you will be well prepared for this role. But it is your expert-level knowledge of emerging technologies and traditional media business models as well as your entrepreneurial and creative spirit that will guarantee your success. As an excellent communicator possessing a facility for engaging and persuading top executives, you are a natural fit for our growing organization at one of the most exciting moments in our history.
Presentation skills developed from investment banking or management consulting (or equivalent)
Basic financial statement analysis
Appreciation for the structure and history of the global media industry
A desire to grow as a business development professional building on a willingness to learn and existing raw ingredients (analytical skills, interpersonal skills, teamwork, attention to detail, comprehensive work product)
