Manager, Business Development MaxPoint Interactive
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED MaxPoint Interactive is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the Corporate Development & Strategy (CD&S) team at our Morrisville, NC Headquarters. The CD&S team is responsible for developing and executing the MaxPoint long term strategic plan. This team works closely with MaxPoint?s senior leadership team on strategic growth initiatives, 3rd party partnerships, JVs, alliances, and/or mergers & acquisitions.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for sourcing and executing partnerships, data purchase, and other strategic and operational agreements under the supervision of the VP, Corporate Development. The Manger will also work closely with the MaxPoint Sales team in understanding customer needs and exploring potential strategic alliances to support key clients. The Manager is self-sufficient and comfortable presenting concepts and strategic rationale to both senior leadership and external partners.
This role includes preliminary external opportunity assessment, intelligence gathering, and analysis of various partnership alternatives to accomplish MaxPoint objectives. This person manages the entire deal process with external and internal parties with minimal supervision. They will negotiate, coordinate, and manage the entire legal document development process (including term sheets, LOIs, and definitive agreements) in coordination with the VP of Corporate Development.

Excellent communicator with both internal teams (sr. execs, sales, analytics, account managers, engineers,) as well as the customer and partner (which may also include their legal, engineering, and BD teams)

Smart, creative, and think well on your feet
Detail-oriented and always read the fine print and footnotes
Have exceptional problem-solving, deal structuring, and negotiation skills
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Willing to travel
BS, BA or equivalent from an accredited 4-year university or college is preferred
5+ years of relevant Business & Corporate Development experience
Prior experience and relationships in media, advertising, and/or digital technology a plus
Demonstrated success in developing agreements, conducting negotiations, and closing
Transaction management skills derived from a corporate development or investment banking role
International experience a plus
