As a member of the Palo Alto Networks sales leadership team you will report to the VP of Channels & Distribution for the Americas Theater. This region covers US, Canada and Latin America.
You will be responsible for building and driving the regional Channel Account Managers to exceed company objectives and grow the region according to plan. You will be responsible for managing the CAMs on a day to day basis including- capacity planning, formal business planning, management of channel conflict, alignment with key partner executives, partner pipeline and demand generation management.
Palo Alto Networks chose early to go to market with Security Focused Channel partners, and we are now expanding our targets (in a controlled-growth fashion) to include Data Center and Networking partners; you will be responsible for identifying and signing appropriate channel partners, and ensuring they are scheduled for training to become proficient in positioning and implementing the Palo Alto solution. In addition, you will be responsible to participate in quarterly review sessions with the key partners in the region and to ensure that the CAMs complete monthly health checks. Finally, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with all stakeholders within direct sales, finance, sales operations and marketing â€" with a particular focus around aligning to the Sales VP's and DM's within the designated territory.
Extensive domestic travel is required. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in direct sales and managing sales teams in network infrastructure based security appliances, as well as deep experience building a channel and managing conflict. The qualified candidate must possess a deep understanding of how to build a region in a fast growing dynamic environment, leveraging the channel community and creating a culture within the region that supports the objectives of the Company.
BS degree required, MBA preferred.
3+ years of direct sales experience, and 5 years of Sales Management experience; home office location flexible.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally
