Workday is looking for an individual to help manage a team to drive communication to our customers and consulting ecosystem.Â Â As a Communication Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication and change management plans ensuring that our customers and consultants receive information regarding changes and updates to products, organizations and processes in a timely manner.Â The methods of delivery will include email, webinars, newsletters and live presentations, in addition to other methods as appropriate.
Lead a team to work with the Workday development, product marketing, product management, operations, support and services organizations to develop communication and change management plans on both key initiatives and general company, organizational and product updates.Â
Manage cross-functional teams to ensure the effective execution of communication and change management plans.
Develop communication materials using various methods, e.g., email, presentations, and web postings.
Review and edit communication materials for grammar, style and form.
Serve as a point of contact for questions on content.
Be accountable for accuracy, quality of output and coverage.
Maintain awareness of current communication styles and trends. Â Explore innovation and automation in the development of materials.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders and gain trust by demonstrating strong organizational, multi-tasking, collaboration and project management skills and a detail-orientation. Â
Work quickly to solve complex problems, including new issues.
Communicate and negotiate effectively.
Successful candidates will have the following:
Bachelorâs Degree in Journalism, Communications, or Business.
5+ years communication experience.
5+ years experience managing large cross-team projects.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Proficiency in both developing and presenting technical information and presentations to non-technical audiences.
Experience working in a complex cross-functional team environment.
