Job Summary:
Gaiam is a growing media and consumer products company with multiple customer touch points, a wide physical and digital product mix, and a web of sales channels. Digital media is a vital aspect of this complex environment, and Gaiam?s digital strategy is key to its long term growth and opportunity. Part of Gaiam?s digital strategy is the development of our subscription, video-on-demand platform, Gaiam TV.
Gaiam TV is a subscription service that delivers unlimited streaming content via our site, GaiamTV.com, and via various devices. The solution, similar in structure and delivery to Netflix, is a cornerstone of our digital media strategy.
Gaiam is looking for an experienced analyst to collect, organize and analyze data from a myriad of data sources. Our business is recently launched, experiencing rapid growth, and seeing data gathering sources spring up regularly. We deliver content across multiple devices, in various formats, in many operating systems. We are looking for analytics related to every aspect of our business, including customer acquisition, conversion measurement and analysis, member retention, video delivery, email analytics, etc.
We are seeking a Manager-level individual, with strong online experience, who is experienced enough to provide analysis and leadership, but who is also a very hands-on operator. Experience with Internet analytics is required. If you have not worked in online analytics, please to not apply.
In seeking our ideal candidate, we will look for the following key attributes in our Digital and Online Analyst will be responsible for the following key areas:
Experience with Omniture is required. Experience in implementing Omniture is a major plus in filling this critical role.
Intimate familiarity and use of Google Analytics is preferred
Spearhead conversion rate optimization initiatives including:
o Properly designing A/B and multivariate tests so that they yield actionable results
o Properly implementing, managing, and reporting A/B and Multivariate tests
o Providing interpretation of tests that are clear and actionable
Member and user behavior analysis
o Manage the capture and delivery of on-site behavior
o Provide analysis and feedback regarding traffic, trends, interests, etc.
Video consumption analysis
o Manage the capture and delivery of video reporting statistics
o Provide analysis and feedback regarding content value, trends, ROI, etc.
Reporting and reporting tool sets
o Acquire and assimilate data from disparate sources, including web-based APIs, raw data from log files, and database information
o Comfort with web-based technologies and data sources
Skills & Experience:
Experience with Internet analytics is required. If you have not worked with online analytics, please to not apply.
5+ year experience with digital and online analysis and data crunching.
Comfort and regular usage of the Internet is absolutely required
Deep knowledge of Omniture, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Google Analytics
Ability to multitask and comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding, growth environment
Experience with conversion rates, email analysis, sales funnel analysis, and all aspects of the marketing conversion chain are a major plus in hiring for this position
