JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager, Direct Marketing for community solutions is responsible for the strategy and tactical execution of consumer facing marketing campaigns to drive Recyclebank program awareness and engagement in communities across the country. Working closely with regional field teams, the Manager develops strategies, messaging and materials across all print and digital channels, in accordance with company brand and objectives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Marketing
Create direct marketing programs ? online and offline, across various channels ? to acquire and engage members in local communities
Measure marketing performance and develop/track metrics to measure and report on impact of programs
Manage internal constituents (creative, product, legal, production, etc.) as well as external vendors/agencies to assist with development and implementation of marketing programs
Recommend and establish project and ?local marketing execution plans? to improve efficiency of marketing campaign development, deployment and tracking
Constantly employ ?test and learn? strategies to improve direct marketing programs over time, optimizing messaging, creative, reach and scalability
Provide strategic insight and tactical implementation of all direct outreach for recycling program communities
Coordinate production and data requirements for direct outreach
Maintain industry best practices and stay atop of latest marketing business news
Field Support
Provide strategic support and marketing communications for new and existing community solutions markets and their regional account teams
Develop, maintain and distribute marketing toolkits for community outreach
Create strategy and required consumer-facing messaging and materials for new community program launches
Participate in client calls to provide consumer insight and strategies at all stages of sales lifecycle, from launch to ongoing support as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to develop local marketing strategies and manage the tactical execution
Strong knowledge of best practices in direct marketing test and execution as well as experience with various other consumer marketing channels including but not limited to direct mail, broadcast, promotions, OOH and social media, in B2C space a plus
Strong combination of creative and analytical skills, unwavering attention to detail, and a proven track record of success
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.? Must possess excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills
Ability to prepare various documentation pieces including evaluation reports and presentations, internal and external correspondence, reporting spreadsheets and more
Development of brand positioning, campaign concepting and marketing strategies
Ability to handle many projects at once and cross-disciplines (offline, online and RM programs)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
College degree (BA/BS) required
4-6 years of experience in consumer-facing direct mail, direct marketing or a related field
Proven success in consumer marketing campaign development and execution
