Manager/Director - Field Marketing - Americas KXEN
Position Summary
KXEN has transformed the world of predictive analytics, particularly in managing the customer lifecycle, from acquisition through cross-sell, up-sell, retention and next best activity. KXEN is the market leader, with double-digit revenue growth, over 400 of the largest brands worldwide as customers and established leadership with industry analysts.
Based in San Francisco and reporting to the VP, Worldwide Marketing, KXEN is looking to appoint a high-caliber Manager or Director of Field Marketing - Americas. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing and executing a regionally-focused marketing plan for the Americas region and will work closely with the SVP, Sales for the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary marketing liaison into the Americas sales team, including the representation and strategic positioning of key marketing programs
Identify and develop a wide scope of creative field marketing events, executive programs, tradeshows, industry associations and partner programs, to support the pipeline and revenue goals of the Sales organization.
Understand the KXEN brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging
Build excellent working relationships with a cross-organizational group of players including Field Sales, Inside Sales, Product Marketing and the Executive Team.
Target account penetration: define custom account specific 1:1 marketing initiatives to expand KXEN penetration with leads in the Americas
Execute monthly events and annual user conference, and other programs across the entire lead maturity cycle
Takes ownership of program from inception to delivery: research field needs, define program and success measurements, ensure alignment with the executive team, deliver all aspects of the program, manage lead/list work for import to CRM system, track results, report success measures to team, apply lessons learned to next program
Build field marketing templates / best practices for use in worldwide programs
Program execution elements: logistics, contract negotiation, marketing content creation, creative execution, lead follow up and database process
Deliver strategic, innovative and creative programs that drive awareness, education and demand
Forecast, evaluate, measure and report on strategy effectiveness and ROI.
Manage assigned budgets with accuracy and financial compliance.
Experience/Skills Required
At least 5-7 years of industry experience with 5 years of marketing and/or event experience
Bachelor or Masters level degree in marketing, communication or business administration
Experience/Skills Desired
Solid understanding of the variety of marketing disciplines including traditional, online and events, and user conferences
Solid field marketing experience
Strong understanding of how to maximize the value of events and meetings as pipeline generation and relationship building tools
Experience in managing budgets
Proven effectiveness in contract negotiations
Demonstrate strong aptitude for product and messaging positioning to incorporate into marketing programs
Solid industry knowledge in the understanding of sales approaches and account planning
Knowledge of enterprise software solutions packaging, pricing, and sales processes
Experience using salesforce.com and online registration systems to manage end-to-end lead management
Strong project management skills and ability to develop and deliver campaigns and programs within a very fast paced, shifting environment.
Independent, self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision
Strong management skills to lead a team of field marketers
Team player and good sense of humor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Must have the ability to communicate with team members at varying levels, conceptually and tactically
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is necessary
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel when required
