The Marketing Manager/Director will work directly with business line, sales and marketing management to define and deliver strategic creative and content deliverables across PulsePoint. All deliverables will be measured by how effectively they promote the PulsePoint and branded solution messages to target audiences and deliver back to the company. Measurement will be based on delivery to plan, manager satisfaction and, in the case of lead generation programs, how many leads are generated.
The candidate will be able to leverage current marketing team members and outsourced PR and creative resources to fulfill their role. The marketing manager/director will have input into the identification, selection and management of future external vendors that may be required to fulfill obligations. The ideal candidate will see themselves as an agency-like resource to internal teams and will be able to detail highly conceptual and creative marketing programs and deliverables that they have successfully delivered in prior roles. While this position is a management position, it will be expected that the director does a substantial amount of execution as well, especially as they ramp into full team management.
Essential Duties & Primary Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Will serve as the primary marketing liaison between the marketing, sales and business lines, ensuring that business and sales needs are treated like client needs.
Will work with the current management team (and potentially a branding firm) to further define the current brand architecture and core message platform.
Will deliver regular competitive reviews to management team.
Will collaborate with the VP of marketing and the business line GMs to create marketing strategies for each business line that align with their core objectives and the corporate P&L plan and budget.
In charge of analyzing the metrics coming in from all marketing brand and lead generation programs. (May want to consider testing new ?guerilla tactics? against the performance of existing campaigns that include current success metrics.)
Will collaborate closely with the VP of marketing and current marketing team members to provide overarching brand frameworks, templates and content guides for all collateral, premiums, the website, the newsletter, blogs and social media instances and other deliverables.
Will participate in business line and sales team training and cross training.
Education/Qualification/Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in marketing, business or journalism preferred.
3 - 6 years experience marketing with a digital or Media Company preferred.
Significant writing and public speaking background preferred.
Agency experience is strongly preferred.
Prior experience marketing for a digital technology company is a plus.
Experience is public relations and media pitching is preferred but not required.
Outstanding communication and writing skills are essential.
Creative software and design experience is a plus (InDesign, Flash, digital and photo editing)
