The Role ? Manager of Production Planning
You consistently achieve business objectives that rely upon the manufacture and delivery of a broad range of high-quality, customer-focused products in the shortest reliable lead times. A master of continuous improvement, you identify opportunities to reduce waste, decrease cycle time and increase throughput, maximizing performance. Your ability to lead materials management, scheduling and inventory control quality efforts allow you to convert demands (trends, customer orders) into schedules while maintaining costs. A strong leader and collaborator, you expertly lead cross-functional teams to manage capacity throughput with capital equipment and staff and institute best practices.
Responsible for the Master Schedule and related Guidelines, you can ably manage all scheduling, capacity and production tracking, efficiently integrating change requests from customers, production and suppliers into the schedule. You identify and solve materials management challenges while supervising and supporting staff in the establishment, maintenance and management of production and inventory control. Your analytical expertise allows you to develop, maintain and leverage key data (safety stock, lead times, lot sizes, etc.), monitor forecast consumption and ensure the proper use of Available to Promise. Your work enhances Promega?s Quality System and supports Promega?s New Product Realization process, providing key insights.
Minimum Qualifications
? Bachelor?s in supply chain, manufacturing, engineering or related field; Master?s preferred. APICS certification required.
? 5+ years? experience in a production/manufacturing environment and 5+ years? experience in a supervisory role.
? Expert knowledge of ERP and documentation systems required (SAP preferred) and lean process knowledge preferred. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
? Proven leadership skills demonstrating your 8+ years? experience in production control, forecasting, master scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives.
? Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities, with solid command of MS Office applications, including advanced Excel experience.
? Exceptional communication skills and ability to interface with all levels of company to advance key production and related cross-functional projects and support continuous improvement.
? Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
