Demand Media is seeking a Manager, Recruiting to lead the recruitment team in striving to attract the most talented candidate pool to the company. The position is located in Santa Monica, CA and will report into the EVP, People Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative recruiting support for a range of business units including sales, marketing, content, product and corporate functions
- Manage, mentor and coach a recruiting team that consists of a recruiting coordinator and multiple recruiters
- Develop and implement programs such as University recruiting, social media marketing and partnerships with organizations
- Track goals, metrics and performance of the team, and regularly communicate activity and results
- Accountable for training, auditing and building process and documentation policies
- Solid recruiting fundamentals including full life cycle expertise with executive roles
- Serve as the liaison between HR, Legal, Finance, etc. for any staffing related issues or projects
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of full cycle, high volume recruiting experience with demonstrated success in placing employees at all levels
- Must have experience managing a recruiting staff
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with senior level management, company employees, professional groups
- Strong knowledge of online application tracking systems- preferably Jobvite
- Must possess strong sourcing skills, assessment abilities and recruiting network
- Must be able to perform in a high-pressure environment
- Evidence of a leadership style that builds alliances and promotes teamwork via results
- Must possess a professional demeanor and strong client service skills
- Ability to successfully multi-task and execute
- Bachelors degree preferred
