Medpage Today Education (the CME unit of MedPage Today) is one of the fastest growing online destinations for healthcare professionals for current medical news and education. We are seeking a self-driven and motivated Manager of Education Grants, who will be responsible for providing online distribution solutions to CME clients who are seeking to expand their educational reach. The Manager will identify CME grant and distribution opportunities from CME providers and medical education agencies.
S/he will work closely with and report to the VP of Educational Partnerships. S/he will identify new sources of educational grant funding and partnership opportunities for joint grants. S/he will also work hand-in-hand with cross-functional departments including the Planning and Client Services teams to create compelling CME solutions for MPT clients and offer input and advice on product development needs to ensure successful creative and tactical execution of all advertising and sponsorship programs. The position is based in New York City and requires frequent travel primarily within the tri-state area.
Deliver/exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals
Create and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual CME business development strategy and plan
Day-to-day liaison for all assigned client segments
Weekly reporting on all business development activities and initiatives
Quarterly business plan updates and reviews to management & clients
Collaboration with all cross-functional departments including by not limited to business development, planning, account management, and advertising operations
The ideal candidate is self-directed and has an intimate knowledge of the CME enterprise and evolving guidelines and emerging requirements. S/he will have a proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue goals. S/he is driven, energetic, organized, intelligent, creative, and an Internet evangelist. S/he enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, functioning independently, as well as leading and participating on teams. S/he is an excellent strategic seller with demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into measurable advertising outcomes. The candidate will be a quick learner with a demand for excellence.
5 years experience selling to CME Providers/Medical Education agencies with 3 years digital health experience required
Proven history of meeting/exceeding revenue goals
Strong strategic skills with ability to drive, prioritize, and deliver business objectives
Proven success in presenting to senior level executives at CME provider companies and agency executives
Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills
Strong negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
