As Manager, Email Experience, you?ll be leading the team and user experience of one of the world?s largest commercial email senders. Using our millions of commerce-focused customers and hundreds of thousands of local merchants, we work to provide unique, engaging promotional campaigns. We?re looking for innovative and entrepreneurial leaders to help us with redefine our promotional email strategy. Our ideal candidate should be a competitive, analytical business leader who thrives on a fast-paced environment.
? Plan, implement, and analyze cross-channel marketing campaigns focused on improving the profitability of each user segment
? Help define messaging and execute our customer engagement and retention strategy
? Implement complex promotional campaigns both domestically and internationally across millions of users
? Manage 2-4 direct reports and be a part of the broader email marketing leadership team
? Own the ideation process and conversion to a roadmap for email marketing
? Define features and experiments to ship during every sprint and rapidly scale the winning ones. Our fuel is learning from experiments and applying them to our product roadmap.
? Create engaging user experiences within email by analyzing the usage data and conducting usability studies
? Plan, implement, and analyze cross-channel marketing campaigns focused on improving performance of our mass email promotions
? Provide messaging and merchandising direction to copywriters and designers for email content
? Track and report email campaign metrics
? Serve as the expert on industry best practices, user experience, and LivingSocial messaging strategy within email
? BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Web Design and Development, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; or equivalent experience
? 4+ years experience in front-end web development with strong knowledge of hand-coding HTML and CSS preferred
? Email marketing experience within an ecommerce environment experience required
? Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office
? Experience testing and troubleshooting in multiple browsers or email clients with a strong sense of web design and user experience fundamentals
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, and strong attention to detail
? Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
? Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with minimal oversight
? Ability to meet tight deadlines with full accountability for projects
? Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where last minute changes are critical to the program?s success
? Ability to work independently, think creatively, solve problems and take initiative
? Three years of people management experience
? Thought leader in email marketing, with a heavy emphasis on CRM
? Thorough understanding of social media and vertical markets
? Interest and drive in redefining email marketing for one of the largest commercial senders worldwide
? Solid understanding of conversion funnels and testing
? Strong project management skills
? Knowledge of best practices, strategies, and industry standards around email marketing

? Willingness to work hard driving solutions to complex problems through processes and systems
? Great leadership and communication skills. You must have previous experience navigating and being successful in a constantly changing organization
