Manager, Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety Intematix

This position is primarily responsible for managing the company?s Facilities and
Environmental, Industrial, Health and Safety Programs. Plan, budget, and schedule
facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other
related costs. Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout,
maintenance/repair of building/building infrastructure, security, safety, and
environmental compliance. Responsible for establishing and overseeing health and
safety standards. This position will also select, develop, and evaluate personnel to
ensure the efficient operation of the function by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Develops, maintains, and enforces Safety Policies and Procedures.
? Develops, schedules, conducts, and tracks safety training.
? Ensures compliance with EHS regulations and acts as liaison to regulatory
? Manages the employee safety training program, including developing and
delivering training curricula, and selecting and evaluating outside
consultants/trainers where necessary.
? Specifies the procurement and maintenance of Intematix?s safety equipment
inventory to ensure that onsite personnel have adequate protection from
? Reviews the procurement of chemicals and materials purchased for production,
engineering, and R&D, including the maintenance of the library of MSDS?s for
? Oversees Emergency Response Activities.
? Performs periodic Environmental Audits and Workplace Safety Inspections.
? Manages the accumulation, collection, storage, and disposal of hazardous
? Provides support to Sales & customers regarding product and process
compliance to international regulations (e.g. RoHS, REACH, customer EHS
survey, GHS, etc.).
Quantitative and qualitative, related to the areas of responsibility.
? Bachelor Degree required
? Excellent communications & training skills
? Competent in Microsoft Office bundled applications
? Knowledgeable in Environmental and Safety Regulations
? Ability to manage and motivate cross-functional teams
? 7 - 10 years of increasing responsibility in addressing environmental and safety
issues in high technology workplace setting
? Professional certification preferred
? Familiar with OSHA, Workers Compensation, TSCA, BAAQMD, and other
Federal and State safety and environmental regulations as appropriate
? Must be proficient in English.
